Tagline: Expanding industry, adding gems, and cleaning up the backend.


Fabricator Expansion

The Fabricator now has fully functional crafting logic that builds on the smelting system.
You smelt raw ore into bars using the Smelter, and then refine those bars into industrial components inside the Fabricator:

  • 1 Bar → Nails

  • 2 Bars → Plate

  • 1 Plate → Gear

  • 2 Plates → Pipe

This progression creates a clearer production chain for advanced building materials and upcoming machinery.

Gemstone Update

New gem types have been added to the world generation system:

  • Ruby

  • Diamond

  • Emerald

  • Amethyst

  • Topaz

Each gem is associated with specific asteroid types, giving more reason to explore different regions instead of mining the same rocks repeatedly.

Optimization and Performance

A large portion of this update was focused on backend improvements:

  • Refactored generation logic for asteroid resources.

  • Cleaned up redundant draw calls and loops.

  • Improved memory handling for object creation and destruction.

Overall, this should result in smoother performance, faster load times, and fewer hitches when exploring or mining dense asteroid clusters

Notes

This update deepens the game’s resource economy and begins laying the foundation for more complex construction systems. The addition of gems introduces rare, high-value materials that will later connect to crafting, trade, and upgrade mechanics.
