Sand: A Superfluous Game » Devlog
FARMING UPDATE:
- Pumpkins
- Grows twice as slow as Veggie Farm
- Produces 3 times as many Veggie Farm
- Uses 8 dirt to build the plot and 8 seeds and 4 water to grow
- Only gives back 6 to 8 seeds (see seeds farms)
- Onion
- Grows twice as fast as veggies
- Grows 1 to 2 veggies
- Uses 2 dirt to build the plot and 1 seeds and 1 water to grow
- Gives back 1 seed (sustainable crop)
- Seeds
- Grows twice as fast as veggies
- Grows 6 to 12 seeds
- Uses 2 dirt to build the plot and 2 seeds and 1 water to grow
- Should be used in tandem with Pumpkins (I calculated 1 plot for 26 Pumpkins? Someone check my math)
- Veggies
- Changed the amount of seeds from 2 to 9. Now it is 3 to 6 seeds.
- This change will make veggies sustainable with very little seed gain.
Uses for seeds: I'd like to add uses for seeds. Like maybe turrets shoot them? Or a gun that shoots seeds? I'll add potted plants (maybe some that can slowly grow things (like a rubber (plastic) tree). Let me know what a good use for seeds would be?

A machine to turn seeds into oil would be cool, seeing as seed oil is a thing IRL. Veggies could instead be fermented into biomass and turned into biofuel or something. Maybe instead seeds could be supplied to chickens and then they becomes fatter and lay more eggs or give more meat when butchered.
Yeah I've been struggling with what to do with seeds. You get SO many of them.
