Sand Alpha 0.6.8

Change Log 0.6.8:

It has been several updates since I've posted anything. I have been slaving away here and home and work, but have found time to work on Sand just not any real time to write a dev log. So I know I've missed stuff in the list below. I am working on tightening up systems and graphics as well as squashing any bugs. I do plan on the Steam EA as soon as I get it into a state I feel like I can release it. Steam can be a pretty harsh environment if you don't have everything nailed down. Unlike this community which is for sure the best one, I've ever been a part of. I mean you guys are super helpful, kind, and encouraging for devs of ANY skill level.

  • Added Edison the Robot as a companion
    • Found in a map location
    • Must build him with lots of materials
  • Laser Gun added
  • New quest in Anchor Rage
    • Ends with unique Item
  • Keybinds located in the options menu
  • Graphics options are now located in the options menu

I'm experiencing a bug (perhaps a mem leak?) in the Anchor Rage town. Every time I enter it, it loads a bit slower than the time before. Eventually, it will load to about 86% and then I have to CTRL+ALT+Del and end the program....then that's it, i can no longer load the town. is there a fix for this? thank you.

New version availabl

Hiya bud - i've been following the game for quite some time, checking in now and then to see the progression. It's fun to watch someone put this much dedication into a game.

Anyhow last run i did was quite some time ago but at the time the missions weren't finished yet which made the game quite fleeting to play. The startup mission(s) with the cube were cool and i hope more content in the form of 'things to do.' (or missions) will be added - i would certainly recommend it before a steam release. Other than that the game feels quite polished to me - but i only occasionally play a game or 2.

Anyhow i'll hope to do another run when i have some time and see the new stuff. Good luck and don't forget a healthy work-life balance ;)

Thanks! Yes what you see now is about 1/4 of the content there will be at full release. I am glad you like it. It brings me joy that people enjoy it. It is worth all the work for sure :)
