Culinary Overhaul

  • Prep Table Added! A brand-new workstation dedicated to food crafting. Many recipes have been moved to the Prep Table, keeping the oven for cooking basic food.

    • The best part? It doesn’t need coal. No more wasting precious fuel just to cook in the oven and combine foods on the table for dinner in space.

Recipe Adjustments

  • Meatballs Rebalanced: You’ll now need to combine the meat with bread to form proper meatballs. (Just like Grandma used to do—if Grandma lived on an asteroid.)

  • Cooked Meat: Cooking meat by itself now results in Cooked Meat, a simple but satisfying meal for your interstellar miner.

Exploration Upgrades

  • Map System Added! You can now press M while in Space Mode to open the map view. Finally, some bearings while floating through the void.

  • Map Console: The map isn’t free tech—you’ll need to build the Map Console first. Once constructed, it unlocks full map access and displays live asteroid data.

  • Asteroid Data Display: The map now tells you what type and how many asteroids are available at each map coordinate. Whether you’re hunting for titanium, coal, or a cozy rock to build on, you’ll know exactly where to go.

  • Rock Tracker: Keep track of asteroids in near space. You will notice there is a ring of little dots; each dot points to an asteroid.

Behind the Scenes

  • The map is integrated with the existing chunk and world-generation systems.

  • Asteroid data dynamically updates as you explore new coordinates.

  • Optimized map refresh logic to keep performance stable, even in high-density sectors.
